Women's Self-Defence Day
After a very successful workshop
last year, The School of Health Sciences is hosting another Women’s
Self-Defence Workshop.
It will be held Saturday 14th
September between 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.
The workshop is suitable for women
of all ages. The workshop will cover the fundamentals of women’s self-defense
and practical ways of dealing with common assaults experienced by women.
The workshop is “women only” so
that we can train in a safe and supportive environment, which also allows women
to have fun while they learn.
This workshop will be split into
Part 1 and Part 2. Women of average to good fitness can take Parts 1 and 2 on
the same day. Women who feel less fit, or who may want to stagger their
training can take Part 1 on Sept 14 and Part 2 on a later date.
Numbers will be limited to 20
participants to ensure that all participants get personal attention on the day. For more information, contact matthew.ogilvie@nd.edu.au
