Krav Maga 10 and 12 March
This week, classes are on at the usual time and place, Tuesday and Thursday 6-7pm in the Health Sciences Gym at UNDA.
On Tuesday we'll be doing defences against chokes with a push. Thursday we'll be doing groin kicks and front kicks.
There is a lot of anxiety regarding the COVID-19 virus. For now, I would urge everyone to maintain what should be normal hygiene -- washing hands, sneezing into tissues etc. This is useful not just for Corona, but for 'flu and other nasties. However, if you have travelled overseas recently, or potentially been exposed to Corona, or any other virus, please let me know.
At the same time, the recent outbreak of panic at Australian supermarkets has shown why we should always maintain situational awareness and be prepared even in the most unlikely of places. We often think of bars, pubs and dark alleys as likely places for an attack. We often think of large males in the dark as likely attackers. But do we remain aware in places like supermarkets? There's an important lesson for us all there.
I look forward to training with you this week.
In the meantime, be safe!
